Kim is a website designer, digital strategist, and the owner of Halvorson Media Arts. Kim earned a BA in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Science from Western Washington University and was an early employee at Microsoft Corporation, where she worked in U.S. Sales and Marketing as well as Microsoft Press. In 2012, Kim earned a Certificate in Web Design from the University of Washington, a program emphasizing SEO (Search Engine Optimization), current web design standards, and coding with HTML and CSS. She has assisted numerous tradespeople, therapists, software companies, real estate developers, nonprofit groups, musicians, law firms, designers, authors, artists, and accountants in establishing, executing, and sustaining their online presence.
Kim is also a Seattle Tilth Certified Master Food Preserver, and enjoys teaching and preserving whatever organic produce is in season. She is a Seattle native and cherishes time spent in the mountains with her husband and two grown sons.
